At Trophy Hides, we specialize in tanning your deer, elk or moose into soft, pliable glove and garment leather. Your big-game hide is tanned, cut and sewn into a custom-ordered jacket, vest, gloves, gun case, duffel bag or hunting accessory. We’ll even include a custom tag with personal information, preserving the memory of the hunt for yourself, family members and hunting partners.

”Uber Tanning Company was founded in 1904 in Owatonna, Minnesota, by Adolph Uber. Old-world tanning methods used by six generations of the Uber family are still used today, turning big-game hides to premium quality leather apparel and accessories.

Trophy Hides is the only company in the U.S. that will make your leather apparel and accessories from the hide of your big game trophy. Every product is of premium quality, backed by personal service from a century-old company. At no time will you hear or read the words “Made In China.”

Many imported leather jackets use split hides with fake grain and sprayed-on color. At Trophy Hides, we use the same drum-dyed tanning process we’ve been using for over 100 years. Our special chrome tannage keeps the leather soft and pliable, and it stays that way even when it gets wet. Our leather is also extremely rugged and durable, with a higher tensile strength than imported products. And it’s breathable, so it’s warmer in winter and cooler in summer. 

All the work, from receiving your raw hide to shipping your finished product, is done by the experienced tanners and seamstresses at our parent company, Uber Tanning Company of Owatonna, Minnesota.
